Saturday UPDATE for January 5, 2019

Here's what we've learned so far regarding the Lebanese Pound (currency).....

Currently priced at $650-$750 per million (depending on seller) and a bank screen rate of $1.60 per pound projected to go as high as $2.37.  Yes, that would be 1.6 million dollars or 2.37 million dollars.

The Lebanese people are being told to expect a change in value to their currency.... first it was by Christmas, now it's by mid-January [Hmmmmm, I'm going to check to see which basket it will]

[Not the best deal going for our currency aspirations, but a good contender for those seeking to further diversify their holdings. Maybe?]

Briona:  Iraq has the capacity to be quite self sufficient, they just need to pull their head out of the sand and start producing.

Four2atous:  The Fed has projected 2 rate hikes for 2019. The most recent GDP growth rate is 3.4%, the inflation is 2.2%, and the unemployment rate stands at 3.7%. Given these numbers, it is hard to argue against the reasoning by the Fed. Having said that, these are all lagging indicators, and we have seen many data points that indicate an economic slowdown.= https://seekingalpha.com/article/4231407-fed-short-u-s-dollar
