"Resurrection Day" - GCR/RV Op-Ed 4/16/17

The Bible makes it clear that Emmanuel was resurrected on the first day of the week, Sunday (Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2,9; Luke 24:1; John 20:1,19).

And His resurrection is most worthy of being celebrated (1 Corinthians 15).

While it is appropriate for Emmanuel's resurrection to be celebrated on a Sunday, the day on which His resurrection is celebrated should not be referred to as Easter.

Easter has nothing to do with the Savior's resurrection on a Sunday.

As a result, many Christians feel strongly that the day on which we celebrate the resurrection should not be referred to as "Easter Sunday."

Rather, something like "Resurrection Day" would be far more appropriate and biblical.

For the Christian, it is unthinkable that we would allow the silliness of Easter eggs and the Easter bunny to be the focus of the day instead of Hosanna's resurrection.

By all means, celebrate Christ's resurrection on Easter Sunday. As Christ's resurrection is something that should be celebrated every day, not just once a year.

But at the same time choose to celebrate Easter Sunday, we should not allow the fun and games to distract our attention from what the day should truly be all about—the fact that Esu was resurrected from the dead, and that His resurrection demonstrates that we can indeed are promised eternal life and a home in Heaven by just receiving the Savior.

Same can be said for the RV arriving on a Sunday, and perhaps the glorious day of the Messiah's resurrection.

We have all somewhat misinterpreted the meaning of the RV to be about the collection of wealth versus the redemption of our soul.

Perhaps this is why the global collateral accounts clearly stated the release of God's mercy only be released on Resurrection Day.

Because if you look back at all that had to occur before such a blessing was released, you will immediately understand the depth of Christ's sacrifice; and your personal sacrifices will become trivial in comparison.

Then maybe, you will calm your heart and open your eyes to what really was at stake here, and how fortunate we all were to be alive just to witness such a miracle ... regardless of what day or time it appears.

Never forget that the GCR was always a spiritual transition back into Christ's perfect frequency through out all mankind, not necessarily the hoarding of money per se... and your currency but a trivial transaction revaluation tool versus the gift God gave to us through the birth, life, crucifixion, death, resurrection and ultimately ascension of the Christ.

God is with us.
