MNT GOAT UPDATE, 1 AUGUST

August 1, 2018 Mnt Goat News Brief

Hi Everyone,

I bring you much news today.

We now move into August. How long can Iraq stall the announcement of the elections results and get the govt formed? We are already passed my mid- July date on my timeframe when the RV could possibly happen. So let’s wait and see what happens in the next couple weeks. We know they must announce the ratification of the election results first and seat the new prime minister and parliament. This will start the clock ticking again....tick tock,,, tick tock,,,.

In my previous newsletters I described to you why they are stalling. Did you read them?

To date there is no reinstatement or revaluation of the Iraqi dinar within Iraq or outside of Iraq.

Even on FOREX there are only graphs of rate trends of the dina (of which are mostly outdated). Investors can not yet trade the Iraqi dinar on FOREX or any international currency exchange. I don’t care who tells you otherwise, you can go on FOREX and see for yourself.

NO! We are not just waiting for the rate to change on FOREX (how ridiculous a statement to make). We are looking for the currency to be “reinstated” on the currency exchanges since it was downgraded from the exchanges on 2003 just prior to the Operation Desert Storm. When it is reinstated the rate is expected to be to at least equal to the rate prior to the war with added equity. This is when we go to the bank and not before.

UPDATE ON THE ONGOING ELECTION SAGA

We know that all the needed ballots within the 19 provinces of Iraq had been re-counted. Then they decided to extend the counting in Karkh to include all its stations. It became apparent they are stalling further the ratification of the votes.

We also know that the Electoral Commission told us that the foreign votes must also be re-counted. So on Tuesday, the process of re-counting the ballot coming from polling stations in Iran and Jordan were completed.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Massoud Barzani, on Tuesday, the government promises to implement Article 140 in exchange for the entry of political alliances with Baghdad to form the next government.

"The federal government promised the two parties and the Democratic Union to apply Article 140 of the Constitution in exchange for the entry of political alliances with Baghdad to form the next government," pointing out that "Kurdish delegations will visit Baghdad in the coming days to discuss the formation of the government and access to political agreements between the parties on the application of Article 140 of the Constitution. "

This deal came on the visit by the US president's envoy to the International Alliance, Bert Macgork, on Monday, with discussions that took place between the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al - Abadi, in Baghdad.

(Mtn Goat Was it the pressure from the USA that negotiated this deal?

So it sounds like Kurdistan made a deal to be part of the Sadr alliance. Can this be in part what we have been waiting for?)

The newspaper "Mada", on Tuesday siad that the former House Speaker Salim al-Jubouri may return to the House of Representatives again after he lost in electronic counting operations," adding that "this will be part of another possible political settlement.

Moqtada al-Sadr, on Wednesday, the terms of his alliance with the political blocs, while placing 40 conditions for the choice of the next prime minister. See full article below.

More news….

The Central Bank of Iraq issued a detailed report on the revenues and expenditures of Iraq for the years (2005-2017), considering that the Central Bank is the financial adviser to the government, which manages the accounts of the Ministry of Finance of foreign exchange of Iraq's exports of oil, which is the main supplier of foreign currency and constitutes about 93% of the total Budget revenues and 65% of GDP. The report showed high transparency and disclosure on the accuracy of the data as revenues totaling 706 billion dollars and government expenditures totaling 703 billion dollars and the remaining was converted as the opening of the Ministry of Finance for 2018.

The main and most important thing in this report is the most obvious and significant part of the government expenditure over the years, which focused on operating expenses by a large percentage, security expenditures, the war on terror and government revenues in light of the contracts concluded by the ministries, particularly electricity, oil and service ministries.

PM HAIDER ABADI REVEALED HIS GOVERNMENT PLANS TO RELEASE A LIST CONTAINING NAMES OF CORRUPT OFFICIALS

Iraqi PM Haider Abadi revealed on Tuesday his government plans to release a list containing names of corrupt officials who were recently referred to integrity authority.

Speaking at his weekly press conference, Abadi has urged the legislative and judicial authorities to cooperate with the executive bodies to fight corruption.

Sweeping protests have hit the country's major cities over poor services due to corruption. Abadi said his government was serious in meeting the demands of the demonstrators.

To end the protests, Abadi declared earlier this week a package of national projects will be launched in Basra and other provinces.

(Mnt Goat – he said he would do this after the elections. It is now over 2 months since the elections. Is it just the pressure being put on him from the protestors or was this part of the plan all along?)

Will Sadr make them commit and then enforce any violation? The only power he will have to enforce it is indirect power of demonstations.)

In ending I want everyone to know your constant prayers in the fight against evil (ISIS) in Iraq have worked. God has guided these young men and women on the battle field. Let us all now know that there is a new battle now to fight. A battle to save our homelands from the corrupt politicians who are bent on taking what they want from our current wealth and from future generations without our permission. We must keep praying for the end to the rapid corruption in Iraq and in the United States. We must pray for our leaders when they are being guided by the Holy Spirit. We must stand by them and let them know we are still there to support them, even after the election is over. I have composed a prayer maybe we can all pray today in our own way and until the revaluation of the Iraq dinar occurs.

PRAYER

“For the Iraqi Prime Minister and the President of the United States, that all their cabinet members, and deputies may be anointed by the Holy Spirit to do God’s will and bring the free democracies of the Republic of Iraq and the United States of America to the much-deserved prosperity and abundance thru justice and freedom from oppression and corruption. That they may be a shining example for the rest of the middle east and to rest of the world to follow.

In the name of Jesus Christ our King and Savior, Amen”

Auf Wiedersehen

Much love to ya all,
