2Cents:  Today we have the UN meeting at 10 EDT on Iraq......will Iraq be completely removed from Chapter VII today???

The UN Monthly Forecast does not note the Kuwait Compensation file, however, yesterday we saw that Zebari met with Kuwait on "three files"... Was this the Missing Persons file (Chapter VI), Missing Property file (Chapter VI) and the Compensation File (Chapter VII)????

I am hopeful we will finally see the last file (Compensation File) remaining in Chapter VII moved to Chapter VI.....

We know from WS that the deal has been done for quite some time.......let's hope today they take action and make it official....
While it may or may not be important for the RI, if it is moved to VI I will really start raising my anticipation level...

Doc.K:  Hi Frank,  Thought crossed my mind. Since Iraq is following the Turkmenistan model, do you think they will also revalue their currency January 1 Mookla?

If we are waiting for Maliki to go on trial and be put away, it may take that long with the speed that Iraq moves..... government etc..

Just curious.......    with Warren's time line and all the other components (USA & 4 Heads) in motion.

Oct. 1  is the USA beginning FISCAL YEAR  and January 1 is  Iraq's Fiscal year.  It will be interesting to see how it plays out.  your thoughts ??

Ghost employees make up 20% of the total number of Iraqi’s on government payroll, and they waste 10 trillion Iraqi dinars (approximately 8.4 Million USD) every month from the country’s budget, said a lawmaker.

The total number of ghost employees, who receive monthly salaries from the Iraqi government but they do not work at all, is around 900,000 people.

Kurdish member of the Iraqi parliament, Ashwaq Jaff, told Kurdistan 24 that the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi himself has admitted that there are 50,000 ghost soldiers in the ranks of the Iraqi army.

She is however not optimistic about a reform plan to fight such corruptions, saying the huge budget would not be spent to serve people even if the ghost employees are dismissed.   LINK
