DR. CLARKE UPDATE, 1 OCT

JimW:  Dr. Clarke, thanks so very much for your continued read between the lines gold nuggets of insight and wisdom! Just one BIG question??? What is the reality of a real public exchange? Might they actually only do this in a private setting, such as a by appointment, exchange center, or private group?  Thanks!

Dr. Clarke: NO! Totally Public, Big Time.

Pastor’s Son:  Dr. Clarke, What's up Doc? Happy Friday to you and your crew. I have a quick question. WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE FOR YOU LEAVING OUT THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 24-30 ON YOUR PREVIOUS JULY LINK??????????????
....
*************

Dr. Clarke:  Planned Kurdistan B.S. Joke timing to Pause & divert. You'll SEE.

Shooter: Dr Clark, First thank you for the info.

Question, when you mentioned the "beginning" will we be able to see any change? Or will it be behind the scenes. Do you think it will be at the end of October , you mention the first three weeks?  Thanks Shooter

Dr. Clarke:  Hang On Shooter, you won't miss this one!

Cranana:  Hey Dr Clarke, I posted a comment yesterday that didn't get posted. Must have said the wrong thing like April was suppose to be our month, then August, September and now October. Sure hope and pray you are right... Not that you weren't right the other times...thing happen as we have seen with Iraq.... Don't really care about the patio party....i will just take the blessing and enjoy my retirement...maybe take a very nice long vacation somewhere by the ocean...haven't had a vacation in so long not sure what it is....but I'm sure gonna find out....buy a nice house and help family....my youngest daughter was in this too. Her wait ended over 3 years ago and now she is in heaven and has her blessing. Not as this world knows...   Any way thanks for repost on comments to Russell.

Dr. Clarke:  Sorry Cranana, but it was never us who said it was all those months and times you listed. That is not accurate at all. Get your facts straight. You must be confusing us with all the others. But we do LOVE October. You will too.....

Sam:  Hi Dr.Clarke,  Would you start exchanging your dinar right after international or will you wait and let the dinar rises?

Dr. Clarke:  BOTH. Choose Wisely, in our Winning Opinion.

DINAR IRAQ & DONG VIETNAM UPDATE, 1 OCT

Don’t know if October is our month but do know that foreigners are out of Kurdistan in masses and observers to be placed at the airports.
Back in 2004 they released the new currency mid October (15th)… One of the biggest statements put out IMO… “The new currency must come first as a prelude to lifting the 3 zeros from the currency“ For this to take place, Kurdistan was always the biggest question of HOW when the federal government needs to be in control… The CBI has control of the banks now, AND Kurdistan is going on lock down. SO IMO…you couldn’t have a better time if you needed the 3 zeros lifted before the first of the year when RECONSTRUCTION is set to begin. They said…The only time to lift the 3 zeros is at the start of the new year, this is when all the banks fiscal year accounting begins…it cannot be done in the middle of a quarter or the middle of a year…

UN offers mediation efforts to end Kurdistan independence crisis The UN has offered to mediate to end Erbil-Baghdad crisis after Kurdistan had held the Region independence referendum, The Independent quoted Iraqi Foreign Ministry as saying. Almost 93 percent of Iraqi Kurds who took part in the referendum voted for independence and a formal split from Baghdad to form an autonomous Kurdish region. The decision to hold the referendum was met with anger by the Iraqi government, which denounced it as “unconstitutional”, and Iraqi prime minister Haider al-Abadi demanded Kurdish authorities “cancel” the referendum and the results. Jan Kubis, the most senior UN envoy in Iraq, made the offer to mediate at a meeting with Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jafari in Baghdad, the ministry said in a statement. Baghdad plans to impose punitive measures on the Kurdistan Region Government (KRG) in retaliation for holding the vote. It has given the KRG until Friday to hand over control of its international airports or face a ban on direct international flights to and from the Kurdish region. “We won’t have a dialogue about the referendum outcome,” Abadi told parliament. “If (KRG) want to start talks, they must cancel the referendum and its outcome.”

DINAR GURUS UPDATE, 1 OCT

10-1-2017  Guest Guru BobTheTaxMan …When you get impulsive about doing these things and you end up buying these entities being offered out of Las Vegas or buying into some sort of strategy that actually looks convoluted and has supposed great tax benefits to it you’re stepping into an arena…and you’re setting yourself up and it’s just not worth it.  It’s not worth the money.  It’s not worth the effort…There are different schemes out there to take your dinar away from you.  I’m telling you there are schemes out there set up to take your money now.  So don’t buy into any of those.  It’s just not worth it… [Post 2 of 2]

10-1-2017  Guest Guru BobTheTaxMan  …People in the dinar world have a tendency to wrap themselves up in two energies of emotion that has to do with investments.  That’s fear and greed…when the moment comes go ahead and cash in the amount you’re going to need to take care of your immediate needs…give yourself time.  A lot of times when that fear and greed come into play you got to hurry hurry hurry hurry don’t do that.  Give yourself time.  Because as things move forward we’re going to get more information coming from the IRS and other government institutions about this particular event that’s coming our way.  So step back and take a breath.  Relax ok.  Don’t jump.  And you’ll be able to put these things [tax strategies] into play and they’ll function the very best for you...  [Post 1 of 2]

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - After the Hawija and Qaim rule near the Syrian border, terrorist gangs have almost finished in Iraq militarily, the deputy head of the Popular Popular Authority Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes said on Sunday.

The engineer said in a press statement that "the da'as is almost over and now the Iraqi forces are currently engaged in northern areas such as Hawija, and we expect that these operations will end in the coming days that coincide with the month of Muharram."

"The remaining areas are only in the western province of Anbar, and should be closed between 200 to 250 kilometers of the Iraqi-Syrian border, especially the area of Qaim corresponding to the Syrian region of Boukmal."

"These areas on the Euphrates are important areas, and there are desert areas frequented by terrorists," he said.

PAYRAY TIDBIT, 1 OCT

This Kurdish referendum situation is just too convenient for a variety of reasons... And at this juncture, when so much has been achieved, makes no sense at all to have been done... Barzani is smarter than that... But regardless Abadi knows the referendum does not change a single thing... Poll voting at best... Why bother doing it when the outcome was quite obvious?... Of course the majority of the Kurdish people want independence...Did we need a referendum to determine that?... REALLY?!... It was meaningless in the overall scheme of things...Reading abut Abadi's response, one would think that the Kurd's are in full revolt mode... And nothing could be further from the truth...  ...The news is just too darn good from an economic standpoint... No one is pulling out of agreements...Jordan, and Iraq have agreed to share a wide open border which will save time when products are being shipped...We are in standby mode.. Waiting for liftoff..

He has to travel to get water and food is scarce, however for now he has his meds. He has been out in his community helping his people and will not leave P.R. because his people are needing so much help. His family are all ok and around the 10th will be getting out by going to Tampa and wanted Blu to come too, and of course he won't leave. He has his little bird and also he has his people. He doesn't want anyone to think he is asking for anything, but I explained to him he has helped everybody for years and it is time we gave back. He is afraid of what people will think and I told him if anyone has anything to say about it to take it up with me, I will set them straight. IMO, Due to recent events in Iraq, this meeting in 2 weeks appears to have a lot more significance than previously anticipated?

I know it is always important any time Iraq meets in D.C. with the IMF but with all of the "unfinished business" (chap 7, HCL, etc.) it seems to have heightened the stress level considerably with all participants!

Hopefully parliament will step up & Barzani gets back in line, in short order?

Since 2017-10-01

Participants in the Gulf-Jordan Economic Dialogue Forum recommended Sunday that Iraq and Jordan join the Federation of GCC Chambers, in addition to linking the railways between the Gulf, Jordan, Iraq and Yemen.

"The recommendations stressed the need to transform the challenges faced by the private sector into incentives and opportunities to enhance the process of Gulf-Jordanian economic integration expressed by speakers and participants during the forum sessions," said Nael Kabariti, Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce.

Al-Kabariti explained that "the participants stressed the need to take advantage of the advantages and resources available to invest in complementary production projects between Jordan and the Arab Gulf countries, especially in vital sectors, and the preparation of joint studies between the Union of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Chamber of Commerce of Jordan."

The Forum was organized by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) today (October 1, 2017) in cooperation with the Federation of GCC Chambers under the theme "Enhancing the prospects of the GCC cooperation for better growth and integration".

The forum, which is being held for the second time in Amman, has sought to boost Jordan's economic development by opening new partnerships between business owners that will reflect the economies of both sides and stimulate trade exchange.

The volume of trade between the GCC and Jordan reached about 4.6 billion dollars last year, of which 3.3 billion dollars Gulf exports.

Walkingstick:   IMF: Iraq 2018 budget nearing agreement

October 1, 2017 11:15 am

Iraqi authorities and the staff of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) held discussions in Amman from September 17 to 28, 2017, on the third review of the country’s 36-month Stand-By Arrangement (SBA).

The Iraqi delegation was headed by Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI), Dr Ali Mohsen Ismail Al-Allaq, and Acting Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr Maher Johan, and also comprised top representatives from the Prime Minister’s office, ministries of finance, oil, planning, and electricity.

Christian Josz, Mission Chief for Iraq, praised the open and productive discussions and later issued a statement saying: “The Iraqi authorities and IMF staff started discussions on the third review of the SBA and made good progress towards reaching agreement on a draft 2018 budget in line with the SBA. These discussions will continue during the upcoming IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings from October 13 to 15, 2017 in Washington, DC.”

Recent payments history

The IMF Executive Board had approved a three-year $5.34 billion (AED19.6bn) SBA on July 7, 2016, a sign that the Fund was willing to back the Iraqi government’s economic reform agenda.

That 2016 announcement had followed a previous payment exactly one year earlier, when Iraq received approximately $1.24bn (AED4.5bn) under the IMF’s Rapid Financing Instrument.

Crisis calling

Iraq, like many MENA/GCC oil producing countries, is feeling the effect of lower global oil prices.
It current average production is 4.5 million barrels per day, according to US based Trading Economics, which provides historical data for more than 20 million economic indicators worldwide.

Iraq has the world’s fifth largest proven petroleum reserves after Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Canada, and Iran.

What’s stopping development?

The country has large potential for further oil field development and as such more proven reserves may not have yet been discovered, but Iraq is hampered by high levels of corruption keeping it from moving forward with robust economic aganda.

The country is positioned a low 166 out of 176 nations, according to a corruption index by Transparency International.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi recently announced: “Corruption is a scourge and we will work to combat it and to defend justice and prevent corruption from creeping in.”

 Kurdish referendum

Kirkuk, located in the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) region of Iraq can produce more than 1m barrels a day and is believed to have nearly 9bn barrels of reserves. However, Iraq is currently fighting a referendum by the KRG to seek independence from Iraq.

Iraq is also coming out from a fierce and costly battle with ISIS to liberate major cities the terrorist group had taken control of.

“Iraq’s economic reform program, supported by the SBA, aims to address the urgent balance of payments need, bring spending in line with lower global oil prices and ensure debt sustainability,” said the IMF when it approved the SBA.

IQD CHAT, 1 OCT

tman23: The provincial council of Dhi Qar in south of Iraq decided on Saturday to expel over 1,000 Kurds to follow the footstep of Baghdad’s growing sanctions against the Kurds. Citing a Kurdish resident of the province, The Baghdad Post said that the majority of the Kurds in Dhi Qar was born there, and it is illogic to force them out.

According to local sources, the provincial council has given them 48 hours to go back to Kurdistan Region. Most of the Kurdish population in Dhi Qar work in the public or private sector or they run their own businesses.........

chattels: @tman23 Given the pressures upon Abadi in Baghdad it is not unlikely that he would deny the meeting and have it anyway and away from prying / critical eyes.

Otherwise the way he is handling the Kurds...... the Basra and Kirkuk powder keg getting hotter.....once it blows there is no turning back and no words or promises to be made to change it...... I called this months ago as "The Bombastic Golfer" bashed it all to h^ll as not even a remote possibility........

Then the other day as I said this isn't making sense and I am optimistic because of some "certain things' and time is right with Kurd region now locked down....... Bombastic Golfer bashed that all to h^ll......... But he remains bullish ........LMAO !! To which scenario ???

chattels: @mountainwest74 My recollection is that it was a lower percentage, but still a majority. I think that I recall 60-70%.

Blackgold: Come on its been 14 years, if the most so call powerful nation in the world hasn't secured that country yet then something is wrong

tman23: @chattels .... I had not seen our night conversation being public.....but I don't go reading much of what others have to say...... AND the reason I would not post certain things in public...... I do have the email address and will explain my reasoning

MG YOU SAY YOU ARE WILLING TO DEBATE ALL THE “NEGATIVE” PEOPLE…HUMMM I GUESS FIRST WE NEED TO DEFINE NEGATIVE, THEN WE NEED TO DEFINE REALISTIC.

YOU ARE ACTING JUST AS IRRESPONSIBLE AS THE GURUS YOU CONDEMN EACH DAY. OH YOU BRING IN THEIR WORDS NOT YOURS AND NEWS ARTICLES THAT ARE POORLY TRANSLATED AND BLA BLA BLA BUT CAN YOU RELATE THEM TO THE REAL WORLD MONETARY SYSTEM??

DO YOU THINK THAT IRAQ IS IN A VACUUM?? HOW IS POSSIBLE FOR THEM TO SEEK INTERNATIONAL STATUS BUT VIOLATE INTERNATIONAL PROTOCOL???

I AM NOT FOR 1 MIN DOUBTING THE EVENTUAL VALUE OF THE DINAR BUT I WILL SAY THIS WITH AS MUCH PROOF AS YOU WANT (BECAUSE MY MOUTH NEVER WRITES CHECKS MY BUTT CAN’T COVER) IT WILL BE AN EVENTUAL PROCESS.

NOW THIS IS NOT A NEGATIVE STATEMENT…LET’S GET REAL..AND GO AHEAD DINAR LAND LET YOUR PITCH FORKS FLY BUT THE TRUTH IS IRAQ WILL BRING THEIR CURRENCY ACROSS BORDERS AND THEN THEY WILL FOLLOW ALL THE INTERNATIONAL PROTOCOLS JUST THE SAME AS EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY BEFORE THEM AND AS DOCUMENTED ON THE IMF WEBSITE FOR A GRADUAL RISE IN THE VALUE BASED ON GDP.

THERE IS AN ENTIRE SECTION ON GUIDELINES FOR PRICING A CURRENCY BEFORE ANYONE CAN GO AROUND TRANSLATING ARTICLES AND ADDING CONJECTURE THEY MUST EDUCATE THEMSELVES ON HOW MONEY WORKS.

whatsup: YOU SEE THE DINAR WILL BE A CURRENCY THAT HAS AN EXCHANGE REGIME THE SAME AS EVERY CURRENCY IN THE WORLD. WHAT EXACTLY THAT REGIME IS REMAINS TO BE SEEN.

AFTER A REGIME AND A PEG AND BAND PROCESS IS SET THE CURRENCY WILL INCREASE IN VALUE VERY GRADUALLY. IN QUOTING ARTICLES YOU WILL ALSO REMEMBER IN THEIR LETTER OF INTENT TO THE IMF THE ASSURANCE THEY MADE TO MAINTAIN A DOLLAR PEG.

SO HOW THEN WILL THEY SET AN EXCHANGE ABOVE THE DOLLAR AND NOT CRASH AND BURN…THE SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK LIKE THAT. AND PLEASE DO NOT USE KUWAIT BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE A DOLLAR PEG.

I CAN GO ON AND ON AND GIVE YOU COUNTLESS FACTUAL REASONS WHY THE PUSH A BUTTON AND INFLATE THE VALUE WILL NOT WORK. LOOK AT CHINA…THEY NEED TO INTERVENE DAILY TO KEEP THE EXCHANGE RATE OF THE YUAN DOWN HOW ABOUT VIETNAM, EGYPT, BELARUS, INDONESIA, PAKISTAN, INDIA THE LIST GOES ON AND ON…

LET’S JUST LOOK AT THE USD..THE STRONGER THE DOLLAR GOT THE MORE CHOKED EMERGING MARKETS BECOME AND RIGHT NOW IRAQ IS NOT EVEN IN FRONTIER MARKET STATUS LET ALONE EMERGING BUT THEY ARE GOING TO PUSH A BUTTON AND DEFY ALL PROTOCOLS THAT THE REST OF THE GLOBE USE AND JUMP FROM LESS THAN ZERO TO SOMETHING ABOVE ZERO OVERNIGHT??

HOW ABOUT IF YOU SHOW ME THE FACTS THAT BACK THAT UP IN THE INTERNATIONAL BANKING WORLD NOT POORLY TRANSLATED ARTICLES FROM REMOTE PARTS OF MIDDLE EASTERN COUNTRY.

LOOK I DO NOT THINK ANYONE SHOULD SELL THEIR CURRENCY OR GIVE IT AWAY BECAUSE THERE WILL BE OPPORTUNITIES AND POCKETS OF PROFIT WHEN THE DINAR CROSSES BORDERS AND YOU CAN TRADE PINK PAPER IN FOR WHITE PAPER.

whatsup: BUT FOR YOU TO CONDEMN THE GURUS FOR PUMPING HYPE IS A TAD BIT HYPOCRITICAL BECAUSE YOU MAY NOT BE SUPPORTING HYPE BUT YOU ARE SUPPORTING THE STORY LINE THAT ONLY WORKS IF IRAQ WERE IN A VACUUM AND WAS NEVER GOING TO PLUG INTO THE INTERNATIONAL WORLD.

MANY PEOPLE AND YOU INCLUDED ONLY STUDY AND LOOK AT IRAQ…BUT MG YOU CAN NOT WALK ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET, IF YOU WANT IRAQ TO BE INTERNATIONAL THAN YOU MUST LOOK INTO AND STUDY HOW THE INTERNATIONAL SYSTEM WORKS.

IRAQ WILL NEED TO FOLLOW ALL THE INTERNATIONAL PROTOCOLS AND THE ARTICLES YOU KEEP QUOTING FROM ARE THE CBI TALKING TO THEIR CITIZENS AND REGARDLESS WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL STILL APPLY THE PROCESS TO INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS.

IF I MAY MAKE A SUGGESTION YOU CAN LOOK AT THE IMF SITE AND SEE THE ADOPTED PROTOCOL FOR REDENOMINATING AND INTRODUCING NEW CURRENCY AND THE REQUIRED STEPS.

I POSTED ALL THOSE LINKS HERE A WHILE BACK. YOU CAN ADDITIONALLY LOOK AT ALL THE COUNTRIES IN PAST GONG BACK CENTURIES THAT HAVE REDENOMINATED DROPPED ZEROS OR WHAT EVER TERM YOU WANT TO USE AND WILL SEE THEY ALL FOLLOWED THE SAME STEPS, WHY WOULD IRAQ DO ANY DIFFERENTLY?

MG YOU ARE AN ASSET TO THE DINAR COMMUNITY YOU ARE WELL RESPECTED BY MANY SO YOU HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO NOT JUST KNOCK THE *** OUT OF THE HYPE PUMPERS BUT TO BE ABLE TO DRAW ALL THE LINES FROM IRAQ TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY.

Tebow: Mountain Hoyt
whatsup: THERE WILL BE A PROFIT IN THE DINAR FOR SURE BUT IT WILL COME THROUGH TRADES OF PAPER AND RECONSTRUCTION EFFORTS.

I HAVE ALSO POSTED DOZENS OF LINKS HERE TO SHOW THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY THAT HAS ALREADY STARTED THE REHABILITATION PROCESS IN THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS AND THESE COMPANIES ARE ALREADY REALIZING A PROFIT.

I BELONG TO A SITE THAT SENDS ME TENDERS DAILY FOR DIFFERENT PROJECTS TAKING PLACE IN VARIOUS PARTS OF IRAQ, EVERYTHING FROM DRILLING TENDERS TO CLASSROOM REHAB TENDERS.

I HAVE POSTED ALL THE FACTS BEHIND ALL OF THIS BUT IF YOU ASK ME SPECIFIC QUESTIONS I WILL BE HAPPY TO POINT YOU IN THE DIRECTION AND SUPPLY YOU LINKS TO WHY I AM SAYING WHAT I’M SAYING FROM AND INTERNATIONAL STAND POINT.

NOT ALL REALIST FACTS ARE NEGATIVE, THEY ONLY HAVE A NEGATIVE CONNOTATION WHEN THEY CONTRADICT A CONSTANT STATE OF IMMINENT EXPECTATION. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND I AM NOT THE ENEMY, I ALSO HAVE A DECENT HOLDING OF DINAR. LOVE TO ALL MY LADIES

Tebow: Hoy

chattels: @whatsup Are you a fan of My Ladies ?

Blackgold: My point was also not to blame other Gov for not having an RV when it is the fault of other entities

chattels: @whatsup You may be correct.
chattels: @Blackgold You may be correct I meant to say.

mountainwest74: chattels - Agree. I get a kick out of the gurus pointing out the security and stability statements of CBI governor Alak. What is Alak's definition of stability?

Could not imagine operating a foreign business in Iraq with these shiite militias running around wreaking havoc. The Kurdistan Region is the only safe area.

whatsup: @chattels Not a fan, but find her views more convincing than any other 'guru'.

chattels: @whatsup I used to talk by phone with one of My Ladies. Nice person. Very bright. SHe has changed her approach a couple of times during this investment.

chattels: @whatsup SHe is very sophisticated and well connected to banking IN Kurdistan.
chattels: @whatsup At one time she was pursuing private exchange opportunities.
chattels: @whatsup We do not talk anymore.

whatsup: @chattels Yes I am aware of her views on private exchanges.

chattels: @mountainwest74 There is a lot of GOI propaganda and Alak spews his share of it I think.

whatsup: @chattels I have never spoken to her or her group of friends but do visit her blog from time to time like others in this room.

chattels: @mountainwest74 We have to remember I think that Iraq is marketing itself oftentimes.

chattels: @whatsup What is she saying about private exchange opportunities these days ?

whatsup: @chattels As far as I know her last comment para phrased was leave them alone.
30 Sep 17, 05:33 PM
chattels: @whatsup I have not spoken to her in quite some time now.

whatsup: @chattels I know she had a huge spat with Frank26
whatsup: @chattels Its documented on her blog.

chattels: @whatsup I broke faith with her when she seemed enamoured with him.

whatsup: @chattels She's not now: http://www.myladies.co/questions-know-gurus/

mountainwest74: chattels - Frank26 claims that his friend, Walkingstick, has an ownership stake in a foreign bank in Iraq. No telling if it is accurate.

chattels: @whatsup One of MY Ladies lives near Erbil and has banking interest in the middle east.
chattels: @whatsup She is a no nonsense kind of person. I just do not know how much she really knows.

whatsup: @chattels nor me.

chattels: @whatsup I wish that I really knew something. I am just trying to figure it out like everyone else.

whatsup: @chattels I'm sure everyone is trying to figure it out and even perhaps align themselves with others views.

whatsup: @chattels I personally cannot see an RV like a lot of people are expecting. Wheres the money going to come from?

chattels: @whatsup I do think that I know that anyone who says that they know is fooling themselves or trying to fool someone else.

chattels: @whatsup I am hoping for some macroeconomic magic. Where money comes from and where it goes it not something that it transparent to me.

chattels: @whatsup But what is one to expect from a macroeconomic moron like myself ?

chattels: @whatsup I have often said that I am not in this because I am smart, but desparate and hoping to get lucky.
whatsup: @chattels Some time ago I started to guess how many people are involved in this and how much on average they hold. The low figures were huge, so imagine what my max figures would have been.

chattels: @whatsup What are your numbers ? There used to be speculation about such openly in the dinar community.

Doug_W: how much do U average out each person has?

whatsup: @chattels They were pure speculation ranging from a 500K people to 5 mill holding an average of 1 mill dinar - if I recall properly.

Doug_W: ty

whatsup: But I could be millions out in people and currency - who knows?

whatsup: But if there was a 1 mill people holding 1 million dinar then an RV with a rate of $3.5 then it would require cash reserves of 3.5 Trillion to exchange our dinar to USD.

whatsup: Iraqs GDP of the entire Iraqi economy was only $170 Billion in 2015. So, an RV is not going to happen. And that is why I am aligning my thoughts with most of what My Ladies are saying.

whatsup: Time will tell whether I am correct or not.

whatsup: And then of course you have to factor in the M1 monetary supply which makes the figures even more economically impossible.

Meatball: who said the rate was goinf to be $3.5?
tman23: Sept-29-2017 Media Office of the Prime Minister Dr.Haider Al-Abadi reaffirmed that Iraqi Government preserves rights and gains of all Iraqi Citizens including Kurdish People, while the Government assured their rights in any made decision.

SAME REASON FOR OBSERVERS AT AIRPORTS ?? AND ALSO ROADS IN CERTAIN REGIONS HAVE CONCRETE BARRICADES BLOCKING THEM...... IT WAS KURD ROAD WORKERS THAT PLACED THEM THERE ........ WHY NOT DURING ISIS WAR ?? ETC ETC......

spanki: democracy

Dave: @whatsup Dropping the 3 zeros, and with the LDs.....A coke still would cost 1000 dinar....I thought it was to be more inclined to increasing the purchasing power of the dinar....I recollect than the WTO et-al called for a reality rate on the dinar and not this UN imposed sanctioned rate

Meatball: what is a reality rate?
Dave: Not the Un imposed sanctioned rate
Dave: UN

Dave: @whatsup Are you inferring a LOP?....sound like it

Meatball: I would like to know where the 3.50 rate was established

Dave: @Meatball Sadam's rate at the time
Dave: @Meatball Pre gulf war...

Meatball: and was that rate recognized ?

Dave: @Meatball yeppers

Dave: @Meatball imagine having to take 1000 dinar notes to buy a coke.........

Meatball: that's why they use the usd

Baxter: im sure there wasnt 30 trillion dinar out there though at 3.50 a pop
MichelleL: I won't sell, simply because too many people get ripped off on the resale and to me, the money is "already spent"
Baxter: thats what I think also... someday...something has to happen...
Baxter: but its not in the near future Im afraid..

MichelleL: when where what how and why we don't know ;) but someday, something
MichelleL: I'm still giving tman's date of 10/8 a shot :laugh

Baxter: so am I.. then its closet time

MichelleL: and if it happens, you all can peel me off the floor
MichelleL: ten cents Baxter - give me that and I'll be as happy as a pig in poop

Baxter: me too... that would gross me about 5.5 million.. thats plenty
MichelleL: get rid of 1 mil, hold everything else forever
MichelleL: you have more than me, I wouldn't make that much, but once I get enough to front my costs off, and a nice tidy profit, the rest can sit there till kingdom come

MichelleL: but you're right, if I sold off 2 mil at a dime, it would make life a little more pleasant for a while

Baxter: sure would
MichelleL: I can see my sister taking it all out but she's greedier than I am, she'll want to spend hers then spend mine ROFL

Baxter: I havent told a sole about this..
Txbrand: sure doesn't look too good right now

MichelleL: she's the only one - because of her I loaded up, otherwise I was satisfied to stick at 2mil

MichelleL: Baxter is ready to cash out at a dime too Tx - me just some of it
MichelleL: enough not to ever pay any more attention to it though lol

Txbrand: @MichelleL I have been reading...i am with him
Txbrand: @MichelleL might hold back some

MichelleL: I won't get that much out of a dime, but I'll get enough if I cash it all in, to never worry about money again

MichelleL: I would expect to hold off a while, see if there's any forward movement once it hits 10 cents, but take that first bit out and pay off the new place I haven't found in the hill country lol

Baxter: as nuts as this country is.... if I have a chance to cash out... Im takin it..
MichelleL: @Baxter :Tup
Txbrand: @Baxter :Tup

MichelleL: @Baxter you may be wise, wiser than the rest
MichelleL: @Baxter which country? we're nuts, they're nuts lol
Baxter: thats what I mean...

MichelleL: @Baxter how much would you get after taxes? thats the interesting question

Baxter: Look at N Korea... can you imagine what one bomb would do to the worlds economy

MichelleL: bax, build a bunker with that 5mil
MichelleL: and invite us all to keep you company ;)

Txbrand: @Baxter anyone know how the new taxes..(.if they can get it passed ) will effect the dinar ...as in capitol gains etc

Baxter: yep..
Baxter: not a clue tx

MichelleL: @Txbrand right now, I don't know how we will stand, we lose a lot of deductions, even though we're not swimming in moolah

Txbrand: @MichelleL right

MichelleL: @Txbrand my sister will possibly do a little better, but we most likely won't - maybe we'll break even? who knows

Txbrand: @MichelleL we couldn

MichelleL: couldn't?

Txbrand: @MichelleL t even deduce our house last year
Txbrand: @MichelleL we couldnt

MichelleL: really? ok

MichelleL: it has to be what? over 10% of your income NOW - but if its not, you can't deduct it anyway I suppose
MichelleL: as for the mortgage interest, I could care less if they reduce that from 1mm to 500k

Txbrand: @MichelleL i dont know...i was just disappointed

MichelleL: I get into fights about that, but why the heck should normal people have to pay so someone with a million dollar mtg could deduct his interest?

MichelleL: if one more person tells me "but you can't get decent housing in California under 800k" and I have to say "move to Texas" - I'll scream ;)

Txbrand: lol

MichelleL: @Txbrand guess I'm just not sympathetic lol

MichelleL: I don't want leftists moving here anyway lol - we have enough

Txbrand: yeah these shows on HGTV and the prices of houses in others states make me wonder how they do it

Txbrand: but they dont pay as much on taxes for housing
MichelleL: Tx there are certain "enclaves" that may be best for those of us in or just entering retirement

Txbrand: night all...cant believe another day is almost gone

Spectra: There will be no capital gains on the Iraq dinar now lets stop with that stupid rumor!
Spectra: it will be taxed as regular income

RVhavingagoodtime: Hello, Spectra. Why will it be taxed as income?

Meatball: nobody knows how this will be treated tax wise if or when it ever happens
Meatball: no one can say for certain
RVhavingagoodtime: @Meatball I agree
BREW: WHY WORRY ABOUT SOMETHING THAT HASN'T EVEN HAPPENED, OR MAY NEVER HAPPEN, JUST A THOUGHT.

RVhavingagoodtime: @Meatball who is worrying?
RVhavingagoodtime: Oops I meant Brew

BREW: @RVhavingagoodtime NOT ME FOR SURE.

Meatball: why worry about anything
Meatball: not gonna change anything

RVhavingagoodtime: I was in a room a few months ago and two different supposedly ex IRA agents cited two different codes. One said it would be treated as income over $200 of currency exchange and the other cited a code saying it would be treated as capital gains. Obviously no one knows ha

RVhavingagoodtime: Agreed meatball. I just thought this room was for discussion, not worrying

Cree: There are no Tax experts here that I have seen. People just say what they feel with no justification. Now lets look at reality for a second and actually look at the IRS tax code. When so doing there is still no answer.

IRS section 988 clearly states that when selling foreign currency, any profit over $200.00 will be taxes as ordinary income. So Spectra is right. BUT WAIT, IRS publication 525 also clearly states that the profit on the sale of foreign currency over $200.00 will be treated as a capital gain.

OOP's here capital gains will be applied and those who have held this investment over 12 months would pay the lower long term capital gains tax. SO WHICH IS RIGHT? Well the tax law is over 70,000 pages and this is probably no the only error.

We can assume the IRS will want to apply IRS CODE 988 and we can also assume that this will end up being in TAX COURT as dinarians would probably fight applying CODE 988. How this investment is taxed assuming it ever revalues will be determined by the Courts...... There is too much money at stake....

RVhavingagoodtime: Whose reality are we looking at?

BREW: @Cree YEPPER, WHAT A MESS.

RVhavingagoodtime: I like the post card version idea better ha

RVhavingagoodtime: Just as long as the post card version is not a question (how much money do you have?) and an instruction(send it to the IRS)

Meatball: I would assume the worse for taxes

Cree: What yuo should check into if the revaluation happens with your tax attorney is to probably pay the higher tax and then file an ammended tax return for the lower tax. by so doing, you will never owe anything more (assuming you have no fraud or other errors on your return, but also by filing the amended return you will preserve the right for the refund is the courts uphold the Capital gains treatment.....

RVhavingagoodtime: I don't mind the idea of people sending everyone in the chat information...its when they tell me what I should do that doesn't make sense.

Cree: @Meatball The approach I suggested (subject to your tax prepares advise) Works for the best but plans for the worst. By paying the higher ordinary income tax you are covered if that approach is what the courts decide. But also protects you if you file for ordinary income but later the courts uphold the capital gains approach. Once you file a tax return you have 3 years to amend it. If this goes to Tax court and it most likely will, the case could take more then 3 years....

Cree: @Meatball Consider how you would feel if you filed your tax return for ordinary income (to protect yourself) and then the case in tax court is resolved in favor of capital gains 4 or 5 years later. You would have won but since you only had 3 years to file an amended return you would not be allowed to get the capital gains treatment..... Filing as ordinary income and then filing an amended for capital gains would protect you in this case.

Meatball: @chattels evening
Meatball: @Cree it is something that would have to be looked into most definitely

chattels: @Meatball ge

Meatball: @Cree if something ever did come to pass it is on a whole different level that what most deal with
Cree: @Meatball OK, I am a finance person with public accounting and tax experience..... The best advise I can offer is to ignore those people who tell you what the tax will be and in reality have no idea what they are talking about, no experience in the area (other then reading all the BS on Dinar sites) and are just typing on chat rooms to type when they do not know what they are talking about......(not attacking Spectra as I have seen this so many times and people who do not know what they are talking about should not be commenting on this)...... Also ignore what I say and speak to your tax professional (hopefully one who is a real tax professional ant not a plumber part of the year - no disrespect to plumbers).

RVhavingagoodtime: Lol
Meatball: @Cree I respect your knowledge
RVhavingagoodtime: Now I know why chattels types ge

Cree: @Meatball Hey I could be a drunk sailor and faking it..........
RVhavingagoodtime: I'll drink to that Cree
Meatball: @Cree could be.... I could be an irs agent to lol

Cree: @RVhavingagoodtime why??? inquiring minds want to know... (or have nothing else to think about)

Cree: @RVhavingagoodtime speaking on liquor, does anyone put vanilla extraxt and brandy in their french toast in the morning? A good way to start the day

Cree: @Meatball not a smoker..... I am working toward living into my upper 90's or low 100's and being healthy during those years...

Meatball: @Cree a good cigar and 45 mins of quiet.... cant beat it

RVhavingagoodtime: Meatball, I thought a plate of spaghetti would be in there someplace

chattels: @Cree Iraq forces attack IS-held town of Hawija By Rudaw

http://www.rudaw.net/english/middleeast/iraq/30092017

Cree: @chattels OK, so your bringing us back to reality......

chattels: Iraqi forces Friday launched an assault on the northern town of Hawija, one of the last bastions in the country still held by the Islamic State group, which is also under attack in neighbouring Syria. The operation came a day after IS released what it said was an audio recording of its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi urging resistance, the first such intervention in nearly a year.

chattels: "A huge military operation has begun to liberate Hawija and its surrounding areas," the operation's commander, Lieutenant General Abdel Amir Yarallah, said in a statement. Iraqi forces launched an offensive to retake the jihadist enclave around Hawija on September 21, swiftly taking the town of Sharqat on its second day before pushing on towards Hawija itself.

chattels: Yarallah said Friday's assault marked the second phase of the operation and aimed to recapture Hawija and the towns of Al-Abbasi, Riyadh and Rashad to its west, east and south. All are mainly Sunni Arab towns that have long been bastions of insurgency and were bypassed by government forces in their push north on second city Mosul last year which culminated in the jihadists' defeat in their most emblematic stronghold this July.

chattels: "As we promised the sons of our country, we are going to liberate every inch of Iraqi land and crush the Daesh (IS) terrorist gangs," Abadi said. "We are on the verge of a new victory to liberate the residents of these areas from those criminals." The Hawija enclave is one of just two areas of Iraq still held by IS, along with a stretch of the Euphrates Valley near the Syrian border which is also under attack.

chattels: The jihadists launched a major counteroffensive against government forces on Thursday, killing at least 73 troops and militia in a series of attacks along their supply lines, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Meatball: @RVhavingagoodtime just saw that lol lol

RVhavingagoodtime: I used to dune buggy the high deserts of Cali and hiked some in Joshua Tree and will eventually end up in Arizona...I plan to hike there some and kayak the more tame waterways

RVhavingagoodtime: Oops, too late

chattels: The joint forces are pushing in on the district from the west, and have taken roughly one-third of the territory. Given the current pace the entire area could be freed in a matter of days. That will leave western Anbar as the only part of the country still under the Islamic State.

Meatball: @RVhavingagoodtime Arizona is very nice

RVhavingagoodtime: Chattels, articles I read made it seem these areas were not as densely populated and distance between villages

chattels: Sajad Jiyad @SajadJiyad 8h8 hours ago Millions in Karbala tonight commemorating Ashura.

chattels: Day of Ashura 2017 October 1, 2017 in the World The Day of Ashura takes place on October 01, 2017. This date marks the tenth day of Muharram in the Islamic calendar and the climax of the Remembrance of Muharram.

chattels: To Shi'a Muslims the Day of Ashura marks the martyrdom of Husayn ibn Ali, and is part of the Mourning of Muharram. Shiite celebrations have traditionally included rituals which have been condemned by many religious authorities under the claim that such practices are wrong or unislamic. Sunni Muslims call the Day of Ashura more often The Day of Atonement.

They celebrate the day on which the Israelites were freed from the Pharaoh of Egypt. As Moses fasted as gratitude for this liberation, Sunni Muslims fast, too, on this day. https://www.cute-calendar.com/event/day-of-ashura/26762.html

chattels: Facing defeat in Hawija, IS torches oil wells Multiple wellheads at the Alas field are burning as IS militants defend one of their last Iraqi strongholds from an ongoing offensive.

ERBIL/KIRKUK - Militants from the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) set fire to multiple wells at the Alas oil field Friday as Iraqi security forces progressed to the second phase of an operation to reclaim Hawija.

The scorched-earth tactics suggest IS fighters are retreating from the mountainous territory in northern Salahaddin province from which they have been able to steal oil, attack northern energy infrastructure, and wage a guerrilla war on villages in government-controlled areas for at least four years.
