Tishwash:   Abadi will visit Saudi Arabia next Monday

Alsumaria News / Baghdad

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said on Friday that Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi would visit Saudi Arabia next Monday, adding that Riyadh was looking forward to re-establishing relations with Baghdad to the best of its condition, while accusing Iran of using the Revolutionary Guards in Iraq, Syria and Yemen.

"We welcome the visit by Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Monday and we look forward to re-establishing relations with Iraq for the best," Al-Jubair was quoted as saying. "Saudi Arabia was one of the funders of the alliance against Da'ash in Syria and we believe that The great effort against the organization ensures that it is defeated. "

"Iran is using the IRGC in Iraq, Syria and Yemen, sponsoring terrorism, interfering in the affairs of the countries of the region and fueling sectarianism," al-Jubeir said, accusing it of "violating international law in using militias in the region."

On Tuesday, June 13, 2017, Abadi stressed that his recent visit to Saudi Arabia had nothing to do with the Gulf crisis, while he criticized internal and external "voices" that he said were trying to obstruct Iraq's rapprochement with neighboring countries.   link
