The sources confirmed that Joe Biden, U.S. Vice President who will head the crisis cell, made contact with the U.S. ambassador in Baghdad James Jeffrey about the current political crisis and Tbagesa about developments and a community of Arbil’s insistence on the withdrawal of confidence in Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki. ”

She added that “Biden had also contacts with Iraqi leaders and asked them to stop the escalation of the political crisis that put Washington in an embarrassing situation and make achievements in Iraq and democracy brought to the region is on the line after the passage of more than nine years to change the hardest dictatorial regime in the region,” indicating that “the Deputy U.S. President will need to be leaders resolving the matter within 72 hours before returning to Washington. ”

Over the last few days I have been a little concerned with the Biden visit. Then this recent snub of Maliki by Ambassador Jeffrey came to light. Also, the info coming out about VP Biden’s real “mission” signals a clear shift in US policy towards Maliki. This gives me great hope for the near future of this investment. It was looking a little bleak for a bit there…

Sadr refuses to pressure Iran to support al-Maliki and give up

BAGHDAD – “squares of liberation” – (Double B)

Said the Sadrist movement rejected Iranian pressure to abandon the option to withdraw confidence from the current government headed by Nuri al-Maliki, referring to collect signatures of more than half the members of the House of Representatives for the implementation of this option.

As announced on Monday in Baghdad, said the cleric Moqtada al-Sadr has left the province of Najaf, heading to the leaders of Iran revealed the power cord of the visit: “comes as part of research the current political crisis in Iraq and Iranian pressure on Iraqi forces to abandon their positions to withdraw confidence from the government.”

According to leaks that claimants no-confidence appealed to the Iranian side, the pressure on Maliki to resign, put an alternative candidate of the National Alliance. According to the leaders of the power, he refuses to back down from its position of no confidence, denying responding to pressure Iran to support al-Maliki….

This is also fantastic news!! Sadr not caving to pressure by Iran shows the characters in the Iraqi government are serious about fighting for their autonomy. There are some significant outside influences – however, it appears they are doing as they see best for Iraq. This is great for us!!

Iraq: Withdrawal of confidence and choose the alternative al-Maliki in a single session

Spokesman for the coalition in Iraq Haider Mulla, that the first steps for the post-Maliki began searching for an alternative. Al Mulla said the “gate of Iraq” that “the political blocs working in earnest to search for a replacement for Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, can be able to cooperate with the political blocs to correct the path of the political process, revealing the agreement took place between the political leaders to be a session to withdraw confidence from the Maliki same that is rated for alternative-Maliki. ”

Mullah said that the issue of the votes have been resolved and we need new accounts, the political blocs have been able to get enough votes to withdraw confidence. And saw Mulla said, “There are many political figures of good within the National Alliance, it is possible to take over one of them as prime minister, revealed the existence of (three people are talking about them within the inner circle between the Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani, the head of the list of Iraq, Iyad Allawi, and Osama Najafi, in addition to representative of Muqtada al-Sadr. ”

This has been in the news for a while, but I get the sense this is exactly where things are. There are plenty of votes and sentiment to remove Maliki – they are just putting the final touches on what the GOI will be after Maliki is removed.

Mass of virtue: not a new government after the withdrawal of confidence from the Maliki

Twilight News / excluded virtue parliamentary bloc were part of the National Alliance, Wednesday, forming a new government in the event of withdrawal of confidence from Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, loaded with all the political blocs responsible failure in the performance of the government for their participation.

The head of the Virtue Ammar Tohme in an interview with “Twilight News” that “reform is the most appropriate option of resorting to withdraw confidence from the Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.”

He questioned “the current government is far from complete, however, barely formed, how can we form a new government if it withdrew its confidence?”

Tohme and predicted that “the government remains the current caretaker government for a long time if you drag them confidence to the difficulty of agreement on a new government,” explaining that “can not be limited mass failures parliamentary one, and everyone assumes the government’s mistakes for their participation in it.”

The argument the NA is making is that they haven’t fully formed the GOI and removing confidence will result in “starting all over” with the current regime being a “caretaker” government for a very long time – However, the very fact that they haven’t lived up to their end of the deal and fully formed the government is the reason Maliki is getting removed. They haven’t failed to form the government because they couldn’t – they just didn’t want to. Simple.

Urgent …Kurdistan Alliance: Talabani sends a request to withdraw signatures of confidence from the Maliki Najafi

MP from the Urgent … Kurdistan Alliance Sharif Solomon for sending President Jalal Talabani signatures request to withdraw confidence from the Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to House Speaker Osama al.

Sulaiman said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / Nina /: “The signatures Talabani Send completed yesterday evening and the more than the required number of no confidence.”

He was President Jalal Talabani, has formed a committee headed by the office manager to verify the signatures that were collected for the withdrawal of confidence in Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki after Maliki invited him to make sure the authenticity of signatures collected from the House of Representatives to request the withdrawal of confidence in him.

This is, in fact, true. They have all the votes and signatures they need. On the other hand – like I have said over the last few days…there is always a  slim chance they reach a deal whereby Maliki FINALLY lives up to his agreement. I doubt it – but it could happen. The more probable outcome is that they keep moving forward through the Biden visit and once they hear him out they do whatever they were going to do anyway.

Iraqiya: Vote of No confidence against Maliki is resolved

The vote of No confidence against Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki is resolved, Iraqiya List headed by Iyad Allawi said, on Thursday, noting that the post-Maliki stage is under discussion especially that signatures were gathered on Wednesday evening.

“Negotiations are currently tackling post-Maliki stage since the vote of No confidence against Al Maliki is resolved,” Iraqiya List spokesman Haidar Al Mulla told Alsumarianews. Kurdistan Alliance, Iraqiya List, Sadr Movement, and some parties in State of Law coalition in addition to National Iraqi Alliance gathered their signatures on Wednesday evening,” Mulla indicated.

“More than 200 MPs signed the petition,” Mulla revealed noting that the matter is no longer about being capable or not since signatures were gathered and handed to Iraq President.

“All parties agree that the major parliamentary bloc at this stage is the National Alliance which, according to Federal Court explanation of article 76, is the party to name a Prime Minister,” Mulla noted stressing that current crisis will be solved soon. “Consultations about potential candidates will start soon under current circulating information about the confidential names.

This isn’t exactly brand new news, this feed is more of their “mainstream media” – kinda like our FOX news or ABC – a little more generic, always late but good to see the situation is being picked up there!!

Haidaralmla: session to withdraw confidence from Maliki will see it calls an alternative (Thanks Honugirl)

The spokesman for the coalition in Iraq Haider Mulla, that the first steps for the post-Maliki began the search for his replacement.  Al Mulla said in a press statement on Tuesday: that the political blocs working in earnest to search for a replacement for Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, can be able to cooperate with the political blocs to correct the path of the political process, revealing the agreement took place between the political leaders to be a session to withdraw confidence from the Maliki same that is rated for alternative-Maliki.

He pointed out: that the issue of the votes have been resolved and we need new accounts, the political blocs have been able to get enough votes to withdraw confidence.  And the Mullah: There are many political figures of good within the National Alliance, it is possible to take over one of them as prime minister, revealed the existence of (three people are talking about them within the inner circle between the Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani, the head of the list of Iraq, Iyad Allawi, and Osama Najafi, as well as represented Alsedmguetdy chest.

He called on Mullah: Alliance Aloutin to speed up the nomination of a replacement for al-Maliki to resolve things as soon as, in addition to the blocs will be able to vote on the candidate that will be in session to withdraw confidence from Maliki.

They are ready to get this party kicked off!!

Here are some interesting headlines…

Deputy for Law: We will not attend any special meeting of the parliament to withdraw confidence from the Maliki and the government’s majority is the closest

This is Maliki chubby, terrorist looking cousin talking…which is why they refer to “the Maliki” in this article – looks like he won’t be attending the special session Najafi is calling….OH WELL!!

Deputy for the Sadrists: questioning the signatures miserable and desperate attempt by Maliki

Funniest comment in a while – but perfectly true…not attending – questioning evidence and signatures are all “last ditch” defenses.

Logistical: demand the withdrawal of confidence is nothing more than political ambitions and was the result of the growing popularity of al-Maliki

ARE MALIKI’S SPIN DOCTORS ON CRACK??? Try the growing ego of al-Maliki…??

White affirming the presence of the session to withdraw confidence from the Maliki

The “Waffle House gang” are pouting about not attending the emergency session as well. Seems to be the most current defense.

Liberal: National Alliance will be a fait accompli after the withdrawal of confidence from the Maliki

I’ve been saying this for a while too – the NA needs to get their act in order. Once this is done they will face 20 years of political obscurity – or worse yet, “infamy”.

Close: Maliki is planning to pursue the Sadrists

And of course, did anyone expect anything different from McSlicky?? Vote against him and suffer dictatorial persecution…which is exactly why he needs to go!!

*** Rumor Comments *** – June 6th!!

I just had to put this one in here – very juicy tidbit…

From Eagle Has Landed…

A friend emailed a screenshot of Bloomberg to me a few moments ago (yesterday)…

The screenshot shows yesterday’s date – Jun 5 and a time of 2:10 ET….

The caption on the scroll reads:

“IRAQI PRESIDENT GETS REQUEST FOR NO-CONFIDENCE ON PREMIER”

Although I know who sent me the email, I have no way of knowing if the screenshot is real as I did not see it live…  hopefully you will post the photo as well as the link….Thanks,  Eagle Has Landed

I know EHL (stand-up guy) and a couple of our members are vouching for the incident as well. They saw it live. I would say – pretty legit!! Going one step further – it’s awesome news since I have said all along, once we get closer the more “mainstream feeds” will start picking up the news.
